Boy's Summer Training and High School Sixes!

We have decided to change our youth boys program this year.  After a successful summer session last year, we noticed a decline in skills that make players successful.  So this year, our youth program will start with 25 minutes of instruction and then play a 45-minute game.  The game will be based on the Sixes game, used in the World Games and, eventually, the Olympics.   6v6 is good at developing.

  • Forcing players to play in tighter spaces emphasizes the proper use of dodges and picks.
  • Allowing players to have FUN and try new skills
  • We emphasize team play and passing the ball.
  • Increased stick skills
  • Competitive play
  • Come and bring your friends and have fun.

The boys' Arrow Program will be held at North Park Sports Complex on Monday late afternoon/evening.

*Important answer to a popular question.  When you register, you register for the grade you just finished. Example: If your child just finished 6th grade, you are still in 5th/6th grade for summer lacrosse.  US Lacrosse does move-ups in late August. We follow that protocol.  You will move up to the next age or grade level in the fall.

Our goal is to let the kids play and have fun!  Because safety is important, we will not be allowing body checking or take-out checks.  Repeat offenders will be ejected from the league.

With all the options, what makes Arrow Lacrosse any better than the others?

We think the answer is simple: we care and have the experience.

First and foremost is safety. We have always used real certified referees. It costs us a bit more but is well worth the peace of mind. We are a no-body checking or take-out check league. The off-season is a time to hone your skills, try new skills, and get better as a player. It is not time to worry about getting blown out by an opposing player.  We promote teaching and encourage skill development.

As owners of this company and parents, we get "It" -- leagues and teams are not just about getting a check or making an out-of-state corporate office happy.   We truly love this game and want to help everyone improve. We also have more experience playing and coaching than other groups.  We have seen the evolution of lacrosse in Western PA and have helped shape its change. We do not have a big marketing budget to send out those fancy-looking emails. We believe that what we put on the field speaks for itself. Organized, on time, and safe.

As always, we thank you for your support now and in the future.
